The third part of DD series titled Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone is the best in of gameplay, but mainly the graphics has been improved (now with a more realistic concept than its predecessor). The central characters are again brothers Billy and Jimmy. Those are returning from martial arts training, when they met fortune teller who told them about the great evil that is hiding in Egypt and that this evil will be their strongest opponent yet. A fortune teller named Hiruko informs the Lee brothers that Marion's captors are searching for three sacred stones of power that have been scattered around the world, and that the only way to save her is to retrieve them before the captors do. After the initial battle in "Uesei", the Lee brothers embark on a worldwide quest for stones that takes them to China, Japan and Italy, where they will face many formidable fighters in each country. The final stage takes place in Egypt, where the Lee brothers uncover the truth about Marion's disappearance and come face to face with the real leader of the enemy. As in the previous parts, you can play either single or as both brothers together, you work with similar gameplay as in the previous parts, a few new touches and weapons have been added. The game was especially popular at slot machines, which is clearly visible from the system of buying lives and weapons with tokens.
